Update.

I'm just realizing how long it has been since I last posted. So much has happened I certainly won't cover it all. Christmas was spent at home with mom and granny, except for my annual Christmas eve dinner at Don's in Lafayette with my friend Susie. Don's was out of crawfish. I get the crawfish dinner every year, so I was disappointed.
I got some nice presents for Christmas. Mom and granny got me some bed sheets, candy, a James Bond 007 DVD box set and a DVD of the British TV series 'The Young Ones'. Susie gave me a ticket to the New Years Eve Saints game. They lost but it was fun.
After Christmas, I had to work a couple of days. It wasn't so bad. They let us out early on the day before a long holiday weekend.
For New Year's Eve, I went to New Orleans with Susie and Jay. Jay is from Brooklyn, but we attended ULL in Lafayette together. We met up with a bunch of our other friends. Ed had gotten a 'party room' with balcony on Bourbon Street. I had never been on a Bourbon Street balcony. I saw alot of crazy things, mostly boobies and weenies. People sure love to show their stuff to get cheap crappy beads. Not even good beads!
We stayed in the Quarter the 30th and 31st. Left of New Years Day. I had to get home to take care of my mom's house, dogs and my granny while mom was in New Zealand. Well, before I could even get to my mom's house, my back went out. I've never felt such pain. I had to go to the doctor and they sent me for an MRI which came back abnormal. I have something wrong with my L4/5 and S1 vertabrae and a bulging disk. Not sure what all that means, but I go to see my neurologist tomorrow. I sure don't want to be cut on or injected with anything. But the pain is still strong. I'm having to use a cain. I feel old.
Just makes me wonder what I'm going to do when I get older and don't have all the support I have now from family and friends.
Next on my agenda is mardi gras. I'm finally getting to go to the Spanish Town Mardi Gras ball. I've attended the parade for years and it's the best, very irreverant and political. I can't wait for the ball. Even if I have to sit there in pain I will have a good time.
Well, I'm in too much pain to think of anything else to write.
